Mother's Day brunch
We all love the beach!
Building sand castles while wearing his crab hat
Another visit to the Birch Aquarium in La Jolla
He started watching Thomas the Train and loves it! Here he's wearing his train hat while watching some Thomas. The show is surprisingly educational--Adam and I have learned a lot about trains in the past few weeks.
Watching music on daddy's phone
Our little monkey
Bradley was very excited when he saw the Elmo ride but wasn't so thrilled when he realized what it actually was. He rode with Adam once but now says he "doesn't like it. Spins around too fast"
We also rode Abbie's tea cups which he didn't like at first but then was having fun by the end.
Lots of fun things for Bradley at Sesame Place in Sea World.
After playing for awhile, we went to see some animals. So far, we've just looked at the exhibits but haven't sat through any shows (toddler attention span is too short!)
Here, we're looking at the beluga whales
Playing in a polar bear den
Polar bears! Bradley was so excited to see the polar bears. He talked about them a lot for the whole next week.
Everyone's favorite: the penguins
Riding Bob the Builder outside of Target
And a great end to the day: Bradley got to sit in a firetruck! We saw it outside of Target so went over to look at the truck. The firemen returned and let him climb right up in the seat. He was super excited!
Helping daddy do some gardening
I asked him to smile, haha We're still working on smiling for pictures
Relaxing on the couch
Has anyone seen Bradley?
Playing with a spray bottle outside
"watering" the little palm trees
Today, Bradley and I headed back to SeaWorld. Adam wasn't feeling well so he stayed at home.
This time, we also saw the dolphins
And of course, the polar bears. After hearing Bradley talk about them all week, we just had to see them again.
Some deliciously overpriced pizza at the park. Bradley said it was "super yummy" so I guess money well spent.
We also got a behind-the-scenes tour of the Arctic exhibit. The wife of one of my coworkers is an animal trainer there and so we met up with her. Since Adam stayed home, I couldn't take any photos because I had to watch Bradley carefully. We were able to sit right on the edge of the beluga whale tank, where we could feed and touch the whales. Very cool! Bradley was a bit scared but it was very exciting. The whale waved at him and brought his tail up for us to touch. We also got to get up close to the polar bears but as you can imagine, we couldn't touch or feed them! There were still 2 huge fences between us and the bears but overall, a great way to see the animals.
