Jan 2017

January is our rainy season and it definitely lived up to that. Between that and Bradley's irrational temper tantrums, we still managed to do a few fun things this month.

Learning about all the states that he's been to so far. He can do most of the puzzle now all by himself which I think is pretty impressive.

Randomly wanted to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse; it's probably been a year since he's seen it.
Swinging on the rings at gymnastics
Another trip to the San Diego Railroad Museum in Balboa Park

A beautiful winter day in San Diego
 Santa Claus!?!
He'd been asking to play mini golf for weeks
Watching me finish my fourth Half Marathon. Thanks for the support guys!

About a week before my birthday weekend, we decided to spend it in Anaheim at Disneyland. Only a 60 min drive away makes it fairly easy to get to. Saturday was cold but sunny

Not sure who was more excited: Adam or Bradley!
 Storm trooper sighting!
 Meeting Mickey, of course

 A Jedi show
Riding his first 'big kid rollercoaster': Thunder Mountain
 They're on there somewhere

The castle is much smaller than in DisneyWorld
Sunday's weather was pretty miserable. The only good thing was that there weren't any lines for the rides.

Picture of Adam on one of the rollercoasters at California Adventure, getting pelted in the face by the rain
 Yay, an inside ride!
 Meeting Elsa

First time swinging on the rope at gymnastics
Beautiful day for a hike at Torrey Pines

Christmas 2016

Christmas was a lot of fun. We enjoyed showing visitors Missi and Earl some of San Diego's great sights, even though the weather was mostly rainy, cold and windy.

Beautiful views of the area from Mt Soledad. Too bad it was super windy and very cold (at least to the Californians)
 The pier in Pacific Beach
 Brrr!

Making cookies with Missi for Santa on Christmas Eve

Santa put some oranges in his stocking!
 The calm before the storm

 Exploring the USS Midway

 Some new super hero toys
Visiting the Cabrillo National Monument on Point Loma

 Beautiful Coronado

Thanks for visiting us, Missi and Earl!
