Feb 2017

Sorry the blogging has been so minimal! Life is busy and I just don't think about it until it seems a month has gone by. Bradley has been telling people he's almost 4 for like 6 months now--and finally, he's almost 4...just a few more weeks. School has been going great as he's in the early stages of learning to read and he also started taking a fun math class or 'numbers class' as he calls it. He continues to ask a million questions every day and is learning to play by himself much better than before. He loves helping out with household chores including sweeping the floor, washing the dishes and putting laundry in the washer. He's aspiring to sing the national anthem at sporting events as he practices almost daily.

Hiking on a random weekend in the canyon near our house
More hiking. We've never seen this much water here before!
Another race on Super Bowl weekend. 10K for me, 5K for the boys
Trip to the Safari Park. Bradley reminded us that we hadn't gone in FOREVER
 Watching giraffes from the tram

 Baby rhino!

 Boo!

All the rain has made everything amazingly green
Bradley's first hockey game: San Diego Gulls, the Anaheim Ducks affiliate

Adam has been working the 6am shift a lot since Christmas so we've been missing him at breakfast. Bradley wanted to send him a picture one morning.
 A classmate's birthday party
Adam's childhood friend Ben was in town with his family so we met up for an afternoon. These boys were fast friends.

On President's Day, my employer does a community service project where if you work for half the day, you get the afternoon off. This year was tree planting to fix up a local park. I put Bradley to work!
Our efforts made the local news! You can see Bradley and I in the middle (I'm wearing a pink visor)
 Bradley is a star!
 Beautiful Torrey Pines
Last weekend, we drove north to Los Alamitos for Adam to join his friend Tim in a triathlon. Adam has been working hard to learn to swim and it paid off! He had a great race and is looking pretty trim.
 During the run

A hummingbird is nesting on our patio. Bradley named her Peanut
This Saturday was Opening day for baseball! His jersey says Padres and his team is the Blue Angels. Adam is now Coach Adam, helping out with the team.

Going over the game plan with Head Coach Jason
Today we headed to El Cajon to run another road race. Here's Bradley and his running buddy Arjun warming up for their 1 mile race.
Little did they know that a course error would lead to a 1.5 mile race which was just a tad too long for their little legs.
 Running strong!

Very tired after his run. Luckily, he found alternate transportation.
I ran another half marathon! All my training is paying off
Wants to be just like Bob the Builder. Asks me which parts of the house need to be fixed.
