November 2016

On the Sunday before Halloween, we participated in a local road race: 5K for me and 1K for Adam and Bradley. We weren't sure how far Bradley could run, but he did great for the 1K (about 0.6 miles). He probably could have run an entire mile without walking!

His school friend Arjun joined us for the race
 Super Bradley!

The race was called Jack-O-Smash and they had a trebuchet flinging pumpkins
 Working on his plank
I came in 3rd place for my age group (women 30-39)
Halloween night! Bradley was home sick from school that day but rallied for trick-or-treating. This year was definitely the most fun yet. As we were finishing up, we came across some of his friends from his baseball team who are actually our neighbors. He had even more fun once we joined with his friends.

In early November, Adam and I spent the afternoon at a beer festival downtown.

The beer fest was on the pier right next to the USS Midway
The view from one of the parks I run through
Playing on the playground after a baseball game

It had been awhile since we played mini golf. This kid actually had 2 hole-in-ones!

He's also tall enough to ride on the go karts now

Monkeying around after one of his baseball games
 Helping daddy make meatballs
On Friday, his school had Thanksgiving Lunch for the parents to join in

At gymnastics, he used the big balance beam for the first time yesterday. A little scared at first but then enjoyed it.

Fall Fun in Cali

Lots of fun things this past month!

First, a trip to the Natural History museum to see dinosaur skeletons

 And real lizards!

Hiding in a tree with daddy
Adam did his second duathlon at Mission Bay Park earlier this month (he runs, then bikes, then runs again). Bradley brought his skeleton Bone Bones along to cheer on daddy

Playing while we wait for daddy to finish

 Go daddy!

I spent a long weekend in Wichita, Kansas to see my good friend Laura and her family. They live in New Jersey now but used to live in Wichita so we picked this location since its in the middle and they could see some old friends there as well. In addition to sightseeing, we also did a Half Marathon.
Before the race. Brian was a champ and pushed the stroller the entire 13.1 miles

 Post-race. So much fun!
 His new trampoline

Fall fun at a farm in Ramona, CA. This place had a pumpkin patch, corn maze, pony rides, and petting zoo. So much fun!

 Picking out the perfect pumpkin

Another T-ball game

Too hot for a few days
 Drawing of his family
 Meeting Darth Vader at Target
Loves playing hockey with daddy in the living room
We drove up to the Anaheim area to see some friends for their youngest daughter's 1st birthday party last Sunday. So many kids. Decorating pumpkins:

 Bobbing for apples
Trying to eat donuts without using hands

Halloween party at school. He's Chase from Paw Patrol and his buddy Arjun is a UPS driver
 getting his face painted

Getting ready to watch the magic show

Trick-or-treating is on Monday so I'll post pictures from that soon.
