9.5 Months old
Things have been pretty crazy here so I missed posting last weekend. We've had some good days and some bad days. First the bad: Bradley got pretty sick this past week and ended up in the ER of the children's hospital. He was having severe breathing issues (probably caused by his latest virus) and has now been getting breathing treatments over the past few days. When he's older, he potentially may be diagnosed with asthma. He's still coughing and wheezing a little but sounding much better.
He's otherwise been working on his mobility. It seems like in a few short weeks he's gone from scooting around to now being able to crawl, stand up and even climb up several steps. He also enjoys participating in a conversation, even if we can't decipher his words yet. And he has let us clearly know that he does not enjoy eating broccoli.
As far as good news, we are excited to have found a new house. We'd recently been debating whether to buy or rent and have looked at a few things but luckily came across a nice single-family home to rent. It will give both Adam and I a shorter work commute plus a nice big fenced-in yard for Bradley to play in. Our lease starts end of February so we'll probably move sometime during the month of March.

Hiking and Stomach Flu
After returning to sunny San Diego from frozen New England, we made sure to enjoy the beautiful weather with a trip to the beach. We also did some hiking along the cliffs at Torrey Pines last weekend. Our fun was short-lived though as Bradley continues to be coughing and sneezing and then also picked up a stomach virus during the week. After a few days, he finally seems to be feeling better, but unfortunately, Adam still doesn't feel great.
Bradley also visited the pediatrician this week for his 9-month checkup. We're pretty sure the nurse (not our usual one) messed up when weighing him because he clocked in at a hefty 25 lb 8oz (99th percentile!)...after several attempts ourselves with the scale after the nurse left, we were only getting 24 lbs 6oz. So that's what we're sticking with. He's big but not ridiculously big! And he's almost 30 inches long. Aside from the stomach flu and the never-ending cough, he seems to be growing and developing as expected. He also has teeth #3, 4, and 5 coming in so that's definitely adding a bit to his fussiness. Adam and I are desperate for a good nights sleep but I don't think thats in the cards anytime soon.
