Tuesday we went to Disneyland, hoping most people would be back at work/school. We were very wrong--it was still pretty crowded! And really really hot. Adam saw it was 102 around lunchtime! We went for a few hours in the morning then headed back to the pool and returned to the park in the evening.
The castle is much smaller than in Disneyworld. Bradley was convinced this was Olaf's castle (the snowman from Frozen)
Our first ride was Alice in Wonderland just because only a few things were open when we first got there. Plus it had a short line. It was inside (yay air conditioning!) but was too scary for Bradley. He was yelling "all done! all done!" halfway through it. We were a little nervous that he would be scared of all the rides but was fine after this.
It's a Small World Ride. Kids love it, parents want to blow out their brains
Waiting in line to drive Cars!
Almost our turn!
Riding on a train. Bradley was actually way more excited than he looks here
Despite the heat, we waited in line to see Mickey and his house. Bradley was super excited!
Inside Mickey's house
some baby pictures of Mickey
sitting on Mickey's chair
Checking out Pluto's bed
Sitting in Mickey's car in front of his house
Donald was the only main character we didn't get to see close up. We saw him doing some pictures but he was headed on a break before we got to him. Can only imagine how hot it was under the costume
Bradley and daddy waiting in line for a rollercoaster--Bradley's first time on one!
Afterwards, he was so excited
Riding another train
And of course the iconic Dumbo ride
Pretty tired by the time we ate dinner
One last ride on the carousel
Picking out a Goofy souvenir. Where's Bradley?
More pool time before we left the next day
A few non-Disney pictures after we got back. Playing in a tree at daycare
Showing off his new Disney toys
Dunkin survived a few days without us. Thanks to our friends Jason and Shannon for checking on him while we were gone, even though Jason is pretty allergic to cats.
Bored with the Penn State game
All aboard!
Our mini vacation was a lot of fun! Although, between the heat and how ridiculously expensive everything Disney is, I think it might be awhile before we return. We were just so happy to take Bradley while he believes in the Disney magic :)
